Orientation map and information signs for visitors to the Khwe Cultural Village

Since the end of the coronavirus pandemic, more and more locals and international tourists have been visiting the Khwe Cultural Village. For this reason, we have discussed with the Khwe what measures can be taken to improve the visit and stay in the village.

Khwe draw orientation map
Everyone agreed that a map of the village would be useful for orientation, so that the Khwe could also show visitors where things are located. For this reason, various Khwe representatives each drew a map of their village. From the different versions, two graphic designers created a map that contains the basic elements of the painted maps.
The finished printed map was set up in the village by the Khwe men with the help of cement.
Information signs for visitors
We have also had smaller signs made for the garden and chicken area, which give visitors an insight into agricultural cultivation and chicken breeding and also provide interesting facts.
Did you know, for example, that chickens are one of our favorite food sources? that chickens are one of the Khwe's favorite foods and can be harvested 3-4 times a year in the Divundu region, where Khwe Village is located?
In a newly developed tour, visitors to Khwe Cultural Village can now also visit the garden and the chicken coop to gain an insight into modern life in the village.
To make guests aware of and inform them about Khwe Cultural Village even before their visit, Gebeco guests, for example, are provided with a brochure about the village. Gebeco guests receive an information sheet with the most important information with their information or booking documents.
