Ringhotels and sustainability initiative Futouris cooperate

Sustainable food will be one of the key topics in 2023

"Sustainability is an important pillar of our brand philosophy. Having recently launched the 'Ringhotel Network Energy', our collaboration with Futouris on sustainable food is the next step," says Susanne Weiss, Managing Director of Ringhotels. "Our claim 'Echt HeimatGenuss erleben' ('Experience genuine local enjoyment') contributes to this cooperation and has long been practiced by our Ringhoteliers. A project close to our hearts, with which we want to show that sustainable nutrition in hotels is not only possible, but also easy to implement with our Ringhoteliers."

"The use of regional food certainly plays one of the main roles in sustainable food. But the term encompasses much more," adds Petra Weindl, Managing Director of Ringhotels. "It's about sustainable food purchasing as well as the right waste management, the right communication to guests and employees and the right implementation of a sustainable food concept within a Ringhotel. We want to set an example - not just for the Ringhotels, but for all hotels in Germany."

Cooperation with Futouris

The aim of the cooperation with Futouris is to make the food and drink on offer at the Ringhotels more sustainable and promote local value chains. In addition, the hotel cooperation wants to do its part to raise awareness of sustainability among guests, Ringhoteliers and employees.

Together with the sustainability initiative, the Ringhotels are implementing numerous measures from the Futouris guidelines on the topic of "Sustainable Food" in operational practice. The relevant knowledge is passed on to employees in training courses at the Ringhotels Academy.
