Stakeholder workshop in Victoria Falls
Tatjana PetersAt the latest stakeholder workshop, players from tourism, the environment and the private sector came together to discuss the progress and activities in KAZA and the "Sustainable Lodges" project and to work together on standards, product development and marketing strategies
The workshop, organized by Futouris in cooperation with the KAZA Secretariat and the Sustainable Tourism Certification Alliance Africa (STCAA), brought together various stakeholders from the local and international tourism industry from tourism ministries, environmental protection organizations, certification organizations and the private sector to receive an update on progress in the field of joint tourism development and the planned activities of KAZA.
In this context, the Futouris "Sustainable Lodges" project was also discussed in detail. The participants were informed about the project and exchanged views in working groups on standards, product development and joint communication and marketing plans.
