Digital workshop series on sustainable travel for FAIRWEG

A 6-part digital workshop series for employees of FAIRWEG offices provides practical knowledge on sustainable travel. The aim is to provide travel consultants with expertise on designing more climate-friendly travel offers and advising customers on relevant topics such as sustainable travel, certified accommodation and responsible use of resources

Focus on sustainability: practical training for FAIRWEG
Many customers trust travel agencies when it comes to planning their perfect vacation - and many of them want it to be sustainable and climate-friendly, even if they don't actively ask for it. However, there is often a lack of knowledge about how a trip can be made more sustainable.
This is exactly where expedients come into play: with their extensive expertise, they can not only make an unforgettable vacation possible, but also ensure that it takes place under fair and environmentally friendly conditions.
Digital workshop series for sustainable travel
In order to provide the employees of the new FAIRWEG offices with the important expertise, a 6-part digital workshop series was launched, which was conducted by Saskia Sánchez Buitrago, trained travel agent and consultant for more sustainable tourism, and Futouris project manager Tatjana Peters.
The workshops aim to raise awareness of sustainable travel through practical knowledge and intensive discussion in the context of a joint exchange. The participating travel agents are empowered by the workshops to design even more sustainable travel offers in the future and to advise their customers competently in this area.
18 participants from existing and planned FAIRWEG offices from all over Germany received exciting input on various topics relating to more sustainable vacations over 6 mornings. Together, they developed practical implementation tips for a more climate-friendly journey or the added value of sustainably certified accommodation for customers and discussed what effective communication can look like.
The workshop series will be rolled out in the coming year and also offered to employees of the AER travel manufactories.
